Admission Introduction:

The Doctoral Programme in Arabic is aimed at developing a critical understanding of Arabic Language, Literature and Culture. Scholars are likely to contribute in the modern teaching methods for Arabic, contribution of Indians to Arabic world of knowledge and a deeper understanding of the Arab world with emphasis on Language, Literature and Culture.

IGNOU PHDAL Eligibility Criteria:

1. An MPhil degree and a Post graduate degree in Arabic with a minimum of 55 percent marks (50 percent for SC/ST/PH candidates) or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognised institution of higher learning.

2. A University/ College teacher with five years of teaching experience is also eligible.

Minimum Duration: 2 Years
Maximum Duration: 5 Years

IGNOU PHDAL Course Fee Structure:

Rs. 7000/- per annum + Rs. 7,000/- for course work
