1. (a) “Multimedia is the tool for teaching tomorrow.” Comment on the above statement.

(b) A multimedia hardware platform is to be used for delivering multimedia based tutorials available on the CD. What will be the configuration of such multimedia computers? Describe the purpose of each component in your selection.

(c) What are the various sound formats that may be allowed in multimedia? Describe in detail any one of them.

(d) Describe the features of any one of the following multimedia s/w:

(i) Macromedia Director

(ii) Authorware

2. Describe the process of development of advertising capsule of small duration through multimedia.

3. What are the features that you may look for while selecting development tools for Animation using series of pictures, video editing and simulating a practical session in multimedia?

4. A multimedia teaching aid is to be developed for teaching Binary search tree data structure. How will you design this multimedia? Give details on the objectives, target audience, resource requirements and advantages of making the above multimedia. Which of the multimedia components would you like to include in your above tutorial? Give reasons.

5. Describe how multimedia can be used in the following:

(a) A Conference

(b) A Library
